David Fanning has been on the pop/rock scene most of his life. At age
two and a half he began performing some weekends with his parents who
had formed a 50’s and 60’s rock and bebop acappella group known as the
Lifters. They performed across the southern portion of the United
States as David would belt out the rock sounds of Elvis or the pop
sounds of the Dixie Cups. In fact, much of David’s rock style was
developed first through imitating the collection of songs he had of
the Rock Legend Elvis as well as some of the pop/rock classics of
Boston and Bread and later the Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty and
Vertical Horizon. David picked up the guitar at age 12 after his dad
showed him the chords of songs from such pop artists as Richard Marx
and Bryan Adams. At age 13 David formed his first rock band and began
to write songs. When David turned 16, he began to concentrate even
more on his writing and formed a new rock band called pointZEROone
(PZO). Fanning and his band put out a professional debut album which
he wrote and performed entitled, Day in the Sun. The album received
support from Tennessee-Valley television and radio stations. David and
his band toured extensively on a much larger scale with David
producing one successful show after another. In fact, David and PZO
conducted the most successful high school tour in the southeast,
performing to hundreds of thousands of screaming new fans and faculty
as well as larger events such as Huntsville Alabama’s Big Spring Jam
and packing out Huntsville’s Von Braun Center with their own live
concert. They also performed at colleges, festivals, multiple summer
camps and benefits. In 2006 David decided to pursue a solo career and
moved to Nashville in January 2007. Shortly thereafter, he discovered
the Three Kings consisting of Tully Kennedy, Kurt Allison and Rich
Redmond (band members of country music superstar Jason Aldean).
As a SONGWRITER David is writing a wide range of rock, pop and
country songs with a diverse group of accomplished songwriters mainly
situated in Nashville, TN.
As a PRODUCER David (and the Three Kings) has cofounded a successful
production company known as New Voice Entertainment (NV). Not only
does David produce his own songs and demos, but he discovers other
talent and produces their songs, EPs, albums, etc. Record labels are
sending their projects over to David and NV because of their
cutting-edge, unique ideas and talents. David has scouted out and helped develop some
up-and-coming artists such as pop sensation Natalie Ann and rap mavin
Finesse. He was able to help Finesse gain
worldwide recognition through NV’s most recently produced "Club Mix" of
She’s Country.
As a POP/ROCK ARTIST David continues to co-write songs for his new
album, set to be released first quarter of 2010. He (and New Voice) will
produce the entire album, followed by a tour. Because of David’s
diverse background in pop, rock, country and R&B, he has an exclusive
sound that will capture the pop/rock charts in 2010. In the meantime,
David continues to perform acoustic shows in smaller venues such as
songwriter’s showcases and keeps close contact with all his fans. For more information
