David Fenley would describe his music as "Texas Soul" and soulful it is with his deep, rich voice often compared to Joe Cocker and Otis Redding, and his heartfelt lyrics.
Born in Lufkin, Texas David first began singing at the age of two when his mother would coax him to sing "Honky Tonk Man" for the family. Equipped with musical genes from his Father, who sings in a gospel quartet, David has excelled in his extraordinary talent.
He began performing and writing his own songs with a band he formed in High School. Even at the age of 16 his songs had a pure honesty. His influences included Percy Sledge, Ronnie Milsap, Travis Tritt; any singer with soul gives him inspiration and it truly shines in his new album.
"Pocket Full of Dirt" is an expression of his life and dreams. His sincere love songs like "It'll Be Alright," "This Day," "Beautiful World," "Again," and "East Texas Lullaby" express who he is and his upbringing.
This album is exceptional and signifies proof that real music and love songs still exist today.
"Thank you RFT for the interest and if you found me through them then i guess there is something to be said for this internet thing afterall."---d
