David Finkle has been called a 'Renaissance man' by those who know him best. An Award-winning recording artist, sound engineer, music producer, graphic designer, 'go-to-man' for various plays and TV soundtracks, traditional drum/rattle maker and finally, project facillitator. (For both drum-making workshops and world musical instrument demonstrations.)
Being of such a multi-disciplined nature...if you've ever left your house, chances are you've probably seen or heard David acting in one capacity or another.
David can often be seen performing either solo, with his beautiful 9 year old daughter Aurora (Grand prize winner 2008 Canadian jnr. Aboriginal 'We Got Talent' competition!) and any host of musicians from as many different cultural backgrounds.
David can also be seen performing with the popular 'genre-jumping' group 'Northern Voices' of which he is a founding member.
So, whether as a vendor selling his wares at a Pow-wow, a performer at any one of numerous festivals OR one of his popular workshops of which he is highly sought after, if you've seen David you'll know you've seen someone with a wealth of traditional knowledge, history and engaging yet unimposing sense of spiritual conviction.
Given this information, one shouldn't be surprised that David is also a multi-instrumentalist well-versed in many a musical doctrine. This page is but one example of his musical talents, specializing in the genre of World-beat/ flute/drum music.
While exhibitting strong focus on the drum, melody duties often go to Native American Flute...an instrument (which according to David) "is unlike any in the world..." All compositions written,performed,recorded and produced by David himself, (as well as having hand crafted a great deal of the instruments heard).
It is David's hope that the resulting lack of compromise will insure a sincere, quality product. So...let's have the songs speak for themselves shall we?

Aurora is a beauty.I like every single song on her playlist.I especially like ~Fallow the drinking gourd~I would have to say that the girl gets it honest.You have a lovely family.I believe that together you WILL heal the world. If we could all have that attitude the world WOULD be a better place for all.
