About me? Seriously? In just one word? How about "______."? THE PASSAGE ON MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY JACKET SLEEVE: I'm a fool on a hill that thought I held childish superhuman powers in Allen County, OH. Fell off the monkey bars, cracked my head on the playground & saw blood, than I knew I couldn't save the day all by myself...So, instead, watched the A Team, Knightrider & Pinwheel alot, & observed life thru every episode. Played with a lot of GI Joes-(I was Flint) & Transformers (I was Jazz)(therefor I did time in the military & cosmic wars). Later went to my first concert with Grandma & we saw Box Car Willie. Everything was fine, attended a Catholic skool & deemed an alter boi, Mom & Dad divorced & went to a public school where there were cuss words by children, for the first time, my poor virgin ears bled. Than discovered a punk band in 5th grade called Minor Threat on a mix tape & on that was a Monkees cover song. "Stepping Stone". Just had to discover more punk rock music, & got a mild case of social distortion, & my music mind got wiser. Than for some reason my cousin Adam & I saw 4 Real, and the Fat Boys LIVE in concert. Like front row seats! Thought I was cool. Motivated me to swindle money from anywhere I could & bought a skateboard thru mail order skate catalogs from some company in CA. 2-4 weeks later, all hell broke loose. Built a half pipe ramp in my backyard from stolen supplies from a construction site with my Grandpa's help.(I didn't tell him they were stolen supplies.) Even Doc helped load 2x4's in his black Cutlass Supreme. (He doesnt remember this.) Learned to skate & destroy & found non-catholic God. Eventually gave my skateboard away to some small poor neighbor kid, hoped to save a soul that way. Shortly there after, became a smart ass wanna be thug & got beat up by really bad by neighborhood bullies, & forced to move to Galloway, OH. NOW ONTO: High school wasn't a blur, sat in the middle of the classroom, just skimmed over the text. Did nothing but art class, kiss cute girls & study english mastery & saw Nirvana live in concert weeks before Cobain's death. Gladuated high school. Made good friends & lost good friends. Decided to grow up, be a man & went to Columbus College of Art & Design & got a headache instead. Proudly dropped out & wrote & published several issues of Nineteen Cent Zine, a small press magazine with artciles on LL Cool J, The Wrens, Wu-Tang, to The Strokes, NYC finest. Which lead to me booking local & national concerts & the urban myth of Y-shows, around Columbus & made money & got beat up again my dumb jocks this time. Moved to Grandview, OH & met my mentors-to be while interning for @ PromoWest Productions, a multi-million dollar concert promoter in central OH. Proudly climbed the lader way up to their Operations Coordinator position & helped "run" the legendary Newport Music Hall for five years. Saw & met every touring musical act there, from Sublime (my bro fought Brad)to Ted Nugent (he remembered the death of my Grandfather). (1992 to 1999 in Ohio) Loud times, great people. Smoked herbal jazz with Bunny of Cheap Trick. Hung out with 311 & Cypress Hill. Met Snoop Doggy Dogg. Before he was Snoop Dogg. Met a real american idol, Ian, of pAILHEAD. (this is a big deal to me) Met everyone else. Met a beautiful girl @ the rock show. Fell CRAZY in love. Than an opportunity to go on tour with a Big Back 40, MN's The Honeydogs, CAN's Blue Rodeo and Ohio's Screaming Trees, The Haynes Boys, we tour bussed across the US of A. Stole a bottle of whiskey from David Lowery of Cracker/thanks SPI gang and drank on the steps of Capitol Hill till the cops showed up. Finally a rock and roll weekend! Kept partying like it was 1999, Now into the millenia. Got bored in CMH & beat myself up this time & moved to Charleston, SC & did everything & nothing but sit on the beach & drink Corona & re wrote the greatest hits of my 19 Cent Zine for my mind's sake. Thawed & became a wanna be writer. Worked hard and hardly ever, etc. but smoked the finest weed & "JUST HAD FUN". Got married on the beach & shared a daughter with my very hot wife & even traveled Europe by backpack on a train, got sober in Amsterdam. Raised my little girl on Folly Beach, SC. Got a beagle puppy & named him, Folly. Got sunburn, drunk & older. Got lucky, again & won a skateboard through Thrasher magazine. Became a Skaterboi, again. My daughter wondered where the grandparents were & so we moved back to Ohio, Ah! to be "fromohio", again. Got a job with an old friend, former VP of PromoWest, owner of Scare Factory (look this one up on the .com) which led to the Playboy Mansion. YEAH! Big deal. Two weeks in Beverly Hills with Hef, way before Weezer did. Than bought my first house, an amazing stone, capcod house in Worthington, OH. Resigned from SF & the Playboy connections. They still spook me. Worked a while with the 2005 Buckeye football team & the Columbus Bluejackets, OSU was awesome, the NHL was dumb. Quit that gig. Went to Best Buy for my shopping needs. Met Durbin through a Volkswagon error gone bad. He talked trash about Carolina Panther football. My brother was on the other line @ the time & wouldn't let me stand for that shit (member he fought Brad). So, I talked smack back. Got a job @ Best Buy, Inc. Turned 30 & bought a DLP now I have the largest TV I sell, a 74 inch projector TV , "still don't wanna grow up. I'm a grown up kid." -Kayne March 1st 2006, lost my brother, my best friend for over 27 years. RIP in everything your now doing. Can't wait to see what lies ahead. Got sad & high on life with a little help from my friends a la Ringo style. The greatest Beatle ever. Ask me why? Bought a new lap top. Discoverd myspace. Got asked to work at the Schottentein Center from my old friend Colin to assist/run some concerts (again), had the RHCP & The Who a while ago & had Barbara Streisand recently. (I maybe the only myspace bio that even mentions Barb.) Yeah, more concert stories to come. Ask me about meeting Will Ferrell. It's a funny story and I love to tell stories. So, lately I'm waiting or doing something else fun, probably taking my daughter(s) along, or doing something nice for my wife, that honey dew list is longer than what you just read. Write? So all in all, in my humorous, arrogant opinion I believe I have done alot of amazing stuff in a short time. Amazing events that almost seem made up, like, well, Eric Clapton didn't need me & Rod Stewart canceled but going to Opening Day 07 in Cincy was much drunker and hanging with Timberlake and Fall Out Boy this fall was nuts. Than met the COO of Best Buy Inc. the other day & tried to sell his entourage a TV. (They did not buy anything.) I'm also currently writing a book called, Purple Bubblegum. Other than that working on stuff around the city, hoping to go skateboarding, & just looking forward to the next sunny 30 years with my two daughters, the southern bell and new born Buckeye baby, Happy Birthday every December 6th. I am so FUCKING elated, a new life & I finally cussed in this blurb about me, Yeah! A healthy newborn just in time to end '07. This "about me" will have to do for now. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed the story of my life, so far. There are still about 100 more pages I have already written & a bit more to write later. My life story is for sale Hollywood. OBO. TM. C. Etc. . .
