David George Blackmore: Was born in a small town in Newfoundland and grew up with music all around him. On his father's side were guitar players and singers, and on his mother's side were the organ, accordion players, and singers. So, he was off to a good start. David started banging on the piano at the age of 4 and then gave that up at the age of 6 for the love of strings. David started teaching guitar in his hometown of Port Aux Basques, NF and continued to teach there for 21 years. Playing in three country bands growing up, David played lead, rhythm and bass guitar. Artists like Hank Williams Sr., Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson sculpted his singing, guitar playing and songwriting. As a guitar instructor, David learned to be very patient when creating music. David has always helped other people develop their style of music but had never done anything with his own music. David feels that the art of old time country music is slipping away from us. The days of the old outlaws are a big part of our country music history, says David. David would like (in respect) to the old country artists to bring old time country back in a new way. So, he as decided to release his own Country CD. In more ways than one David's Dad is the reason for this album. He taught him to play guitar and encouraged him to play everyday. So with respect to his father this album is dedicated to a very kind hearted man, David's Dad

HiDavid Blackmore
It'so hard to keep on top of who and when on My Space sometimes, so if you've dropped by recently then thank you and if not then this is just to let you know that there are now four songs up on my page. (assuming that the ever unreliable 'buffering' is working properly).
