i'm just a guitar player, my main band is an instrumental rock trio called Gibox Mobile but i also work 4 others local bands...
The Gibox Mobile project starts in the 1999, the idea comes from Davide Gherardi and Arturo Del Torchio and it doesn’t pass long before Francesco Lorenzi joins in, Franz is not only an old acqauintance but also the ideal bass player for such enterprise. The main idea is to play an entirely instrumental repertory based on covers from Blues Saraceno, Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck, Vernon Reid but also original compositions.
The first chance for a live perform goes back to the 25/04/1999, a concert held in Piazza della Libertà in the centre (center) of Bergamo, many other gigs and performs are follwed in different spots of the city and its surroundings. The same year they release a demo made up of four orginal tracks, the demo is promoted live and it enable the band to be part of a selected bands for the first edition of "Emergenti Live 2000", contest promoted by Centro Didattico Produzione Musica of Bergamo collaborating with Bergamo TV and the daily L’Eco di Bergamo. At the end of the contest, they come fourth, Davide Gherardi carries off the prize for the best musician and they record a cd released by L’Eco di Bergamo. Again in the 2000 they make the second demo including 12 original compositions that go to supplement the live repertory. A show cocerning the Heineken Jammin’ Festival2000 and the concert placed in Kakanj, Bosnia Ertzegovina were two of the most important shows.
During this years we toured as much as we can in the north of Italy playing in different situations, from small club to open air festival as well some radio and Tv shows.
At the moment i'm working with 2 members from Thunderstorm 4 a project called "Children of the Grave", a tribute to The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne; i'm also the lead guitarist of Los Pirates heavy metal bands and when bass player Nik Mazzucconi is not touring we play some shows as a Joe Satriani's tribute.
Now i joined a band called "So Pure" Alanis Morisette tribute band and still looking to play as many as i can with UmmaUmma, the greatest jam band in the world....
During the annual Bergamo Jazz Festival, in collaboration with other jazz musician, we play some showcase about the Jazz improvvisation in the contemporary music.
In 2007 i joined Folkstone band, a new bride in folk metal.. i recorded all the guitars for their self titled debut album ( Fuel/self record label) and toured in Europe and Italy ( Hoerner fest, Rock in Field @ Milano idroscalo, Fiesta Pagana, Wave Gotik Treffen, Open air festival Amberg, Beltane Celtic Fest) as headliner band as well opening act for other bands ( Corvus Corax, Schelmisch, Ingrimm, Saltatio Mortis, Mago de Oz, Fintroll)
in this days i'm happy...very happy 'cause i meet a special person.... don't ask me about her.. maybe one day i'll tell you...
that's all 4 now..
