David G. Preston is an intriguing character. Glimpses of him evaporate from his music making its attraction not so much steamy as evocative.
He has just returned from his European and UK tour and is back in the studio recording new material and getting involved with his new Band SCORPION JACK.
Whilst on tour he found himself in London at the same time as the G20 protests and since he couldn't get into the G20 to see what they were up to he joined the protestors and spent the day being all protestant like. At the same time he recorded the sound of the crowd, police and helicopters flying overhead in between finding a PA to plug into and play a song or two. He then used these recordings as part of his set (back ground ambience) that night in the 12 Bar Club, where he saw his cousin, friends and tattooist, Baron from True Love Tattoo.
David has been putting himself outside of his comfort zone and developing an empresario attitude to life. He regularly plays three word songs. Songs made up from three words from the audience combined together into a story then played as a song there and then, off the cuff. When it works it is a lot of fun and when it doesn't a heckler's haggle ensues.
David helps run the music charity Belfast Urban Collective currently known as the Music Liberation Front which runs the Liberation Laboratory, or LIB LAB as well as moving into a mansion house to build sculptures and perhaps his own religion, Davidology.

Thanks for friendship. Sorry I didn't get a chance to say thanks for your set last Sunday. Beautifully played and sung and rocked out nicely at the opportune moment!
Hello D D D, hope you don't mind me abusing your myspace in such a gratuitous manner, but thought i'd let all your devoted readers know that my new album is now available for FREE download here:
I emailed you the bumpf for thon big house I was telling you about. went to see it yesterday and it would do very nicely. It's fuckin massive. There was competion at the viewing so I might put a deposit on it tomorrow just to secure. Gimme a shout.
Just to say best of luck on your Mini-Tour hope all goes well and you knock your prospective punters socks off! BTW I believe the last 2 songs of your CD you gave me are by far the best in showcasing your talent.
Cheers for linkin' up...tunes on your profile are sounding pretty damn good.
Getting gigs is hard - finding gigs that pay properly is even harder. Especially in Glasgow. Try Market Bar in Inverness and Cafe Drummond in Aberdeen...
Hey David. Are you still homeless. I found the mother of all rock n roll houses. I'm looking for people to move in. Its a fuckin beauty, A rather large 1860's stone built house with a massive garden and garages, outhouse etc. i got to act fast. i thought of your homeless self and thought I'd ask. In a bit dude.
