I've been a musician and songwriter for some time now, and written a bunch of stuff which is not all of one kind ... I'm starting to feel like it's coming together. Along the way I've had the privilege of working with some highly talented individuals. At the moment I'm mainly doing solo stuff, just because it's more portable. I sing mainly in English but sometimes in unknown languages resembling Klingon - make up your own meaning. I like being very silly (see my Videos). My other main passion in life is rock climbing ... but I don't do enough of that right now ...

Anything in 5/4 pleases me, but I particularly like the simplicity, the ragged vocal, the somber loping waltz with an extra leg, and the wry storyline emerging from the imagery of the first song. I listen to it over and over, and keep returning for another hit of "Not Hercules". I would write a real review if I could be objective. Right now I am hooked. I haven't listened to any of the other songs because I'm still stuck on "Not Hercules". Help? Talk some sense to me. Am I nuts? What do you think? I think, "Good one, Dave!"

The first time I heard David Greenald, I was floored. Listening to “Not Hercules” made me drop everything to listen a few more times before venturing to Mr. Greenald’s other songs… you see, I was captivated! The spell was cast and now I have been enjoying many of David Greenald’s songs. Please be allured here as I am to one of the places where the ancients and the future meet with a rambunctious gypsy heart. Buy this cd!!! … and go ahead, sing along with the different shades of shadows in the light.
