Four-time Grammy Award-winner David Holt is a musician, storyteller, historian, and radio and television host. For over thirty years, David has been collecting and performing the songs and stories of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He has learned this treasure trove of music directly from musical greats like Roy Acuff, Grandpa Jones, Tommy Jarrell, Etta Baker and Doc Watson. In addition to making numerous critically-acclaimed recordings, David has hosted popular television programs, such as The Nashville Network's Fire on the Mountain and American Music Shop and was featured in the film O Brother Where Art Thou. Currently, David hosts PBS's Folkways and Public Radio's Riverwalk Jazz. He also tours the country performing solo, with Doc Watson, and with his band The Lightning Bolts.
