These days, we're doing several different configurations, and having a blast.
I get to play in a duo setting with my sweetie, the lovely & talented Meredith Laney. We also have a trio now & then with our old friend, Roger Gulledge.
The Detour Band consists of : Donna Duncan, Philip Carias, Bill Mann,
and myself, with occasional special guests... Peter McCranie, Paul Rathke,
and some that I'm forgetting. It's big fun!

David Holtzclaw is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, who has been a member of the Charlotte,NC musical community since 1990.
He has been performing in a number of area venues, including: The Sylvia Theater, The Neighborhood Theatre, The Evening Muse, and Spirit Square.
David also hosted the bi-monthly Songwriters Open Mic Night at The George
Washington Bookstore and Tavern, in Concord, for three years. In August of 2004, David made the list of semi-finalists at the Mountain Stage NewSong Festival songwriting contest, in Charles Town, West Virginia. www.newsongfestival.com

Nice sound man! Really like the tunes! Thats awesome that you are opening for Ellis.....I've been a fan for like 10 years. He has changed my life in many ways. How did you get the gig? I would love to open for him out in Berkeley but I don't know how to get the gig....I've written and sent demo's but no response. Any suggestions?
