Singer, writer, and producer all in one, David Homyk’s music can be described as a blend of Maroon 5 and James Blunt often mixed with a Timbaland style production. David is known to put on high energy live performances, juggling various instruments on stage. His repertoire of catchy songs and first class showmanship dazzle audiences who find themselves dancing and singing along, transfixed by his touching, reflective music which ranges from fun and exciting to downright heart wrenching. A producer by trade, David has made recordings for many well known artists including Beyoncé and her sister Solange.
Canadian born, Virginia bred, David lived with a heart full of music from an early age. At only eight years old he began composing songs at the piano, inspired by Scott Joplin and early Ragtime jazz musicians. As he grew, so too did the songs that consumed him. Relief came only when he put pen to paper to write the music that would eventually shape his sound and distinct style. David spent his early school years obsessively arranging and rearranging his compositions during classes. Spacing out in class and composing full songs on the back of math homework was a daily affair. After school he began picking up other instruments; guitar, bass guitar, and saxophone and recording himself sing and play all of them.
Despite his academic indifference, the power of David’s writing got him into the University of Virginia. He began incorporating his signature drum tracks and style into Beyoncé songs. The remixes were a hit, the sound caught on, and before he knew it David was sitting in front of Beyoncés father, music industry mogul Matthew Knowles, CEO of Music World Entertainment. After hearing David’s original material and songwriting the company took full interest in him as a writer as well as a record producer. David graduated and relocated to New York City where he has been writing songs and producing tracks for a wide range of artists. He tours and performs, followed by a rapidly growing audience of fans who are drawn to his sprit of limitless invention. David's debut release, entitled "True Story," can be purchased on Amazon.com and on iTunes in the US, Canada, UK/European Union, Australia/N.Z. and Japan.
Apart from music, David appears regularly on the daytime soap opera, "All My Children," and has made several appearances on both "The Tyra Banks Show," and on "Sex and the City." He has also modeled in a wide range of campaigns for clothing companies such as Club Monaco and Burlington Coat Factory, and has appeared in many commercial print advertisements. He was the first ever commercial model for the familiar fruit juice drink, Capri Sun, and appears in commercial spots for Anheuser-Busch as the official mixologist for the popular beverage, Bud Light Lime.
Some house, a bit of soul, a touch of funk and a load of jazz (influence at least). Blend that lot together and the result is something a little bit different, laid back and refreshing. Every other Wednesday afternoon (14:00-16:00 gmt) on SS Radio Deep and Soulful.

Hi, Im writng in regards to your dog. I hate to say this, but if your dog is up there in age this might be a bad sign. When dogs know they are going they kind of give up. My german shepard was 10 yrs old less than a yr ago. She stopped eating as well. Ten is old for big dog. I was lucky she made it to that. The only way I could get her to eat was to hand feed her. And a few weeks after that all started she urinated where she was laying down. I was a dog groomer for 5 yrs so I knew this was bad. We had a vet appointment for her but we were worried that they'd wanna keep her over night and somethin might happen so we cancelled the appointment. That night we all gave her hugs and kisses and some junk food and took pictures with her and my 2 yr old daughter. After everyone was sleeping I went and held her and whispered to her that if she was tired and wanted to let go, she could. And that we loved her and she was the best dog, and didnt want her to be in pain so if she was holding on for us than she didnt have to anymore. When I woke up the next morning she was lying by the back door. She had passed. I suspect she was by the back door cause animals dont like to die by their packs. They usually find a place to hide. So I guess what Im tryin to say is if she is older than give her the best days you can. If he is young than maybe he has something obstructing his belly. Has he been pooping/peeing? If no to either and he is youg than I'd advise a vet visit. But if he is old than Maybe he is just tired and ready to go. I wish you the best. What ever it is, I know how scary and hard it is for you, and you have my sympathy. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I know a lot about dogs. My neighbors come to me before they go to a vet cause 9 times outta 10 I can cure the dogs ear infection, or get the dog to throw up the kids toy they just ate, without then having to go spend over $100 at the vet. Good luck to you and your best friend.
I really enjoyed the experience very much. I got involved in a couple of vocal projects and I met a lot of very talented musicians who love to do music so the four years is definitely worth it. Sheri
