Virgogray Press is an indie publisher, proudly making chapbooks and presenting the world with fresh poetry from genuine voices. We're just wanting to add to the many great works out there and are happy to be part of the literary movement! We are currently accepting manuscript submisssion for chapbook publication, but not for long. On Dec. 1, 2009, we will no longer be taking submissions for chapbook length manuscripts becuase we already have plenty of great poets to come in 2010, but we are still accepting general poetry submissions for other publications, so if you are a poet who wants to have your work published, or maybe wants others to read your work in the form of a publication, check out our website for details and maybe you can hop along with the Virgogray Press familiy, too! Thanks again, and have a great week!!!
Happy Birthday brother! I miss ya, dear friend. It is to be back, down here, that's for sure. But I'll have my own place in a month, & that's what's above all else. Once I do, mi casa su casa, to be certain. I hope you're well.
a Dorado landed in my hands today (john) and an extra for Misty, from the fair on Frenchman. Thad passed through for a month as roomie no. 36, no. 37 arrives in a week. the scene down here lacks the sharpness of your shadow, but dearly. H.B., and hope you stay the lead man in your own unfolding story.
Hey David. =] I LOVE Portland! But I am a very social person, and not knowing anyone up here...not a single soul when I moved up...has been harder than I thought. But I'm starting to make friends. And every day I (at least) think, if not say (out loud), how much I love this city! I don't think I'll ever want to live anywhere else, again. =) Thanks for asking. =] How are you?
I hate to follow and I hate to lead. Obey? Oh no! And govern? No indeed! Only who dreads himself inspires dread. And only those inspiring dread can lead. Even to lead myself is not my speed. I love to lose myself for a good while. Like animals in forests and the sea, To sit and think on some solitary isle, And lure myself back home from far away, Seducing myself to come back to me. -Nietzsche-
