At the age of 13, most boys are playing football and chasing girls… not so David Jimenez. The teenager was already listening to the likes of Mr Mike on Swiss radio station ‘Couleur 3' and David Morales on ‘undergroundnyc.com'. His love of the music soon brought him to his first parties at a small venue called ‘Go West' (Zurich) where he met his mentor, the well known Swiss DJ/Producer ‘Kalabrese', who taught him the tricks of the turntables.
It was also Kalabrese who got David his very first booking, to play the ‘Releaseparty' for Zurich based label ‘Stattmusik' as club ‘Rohstofflager'. David was 15.
David's first residency was at the ‘Zoo' club in Zurich, and it was here that he perfected his skills behind the decks. His career soon took off with gigs such as ‘House 3000' (Palais X-Tra, Zurich), ‘Supermarket' and his own parties ‘Duende Night', playing alongside some of the finest names in house music… Ame, Sandy Rivera, Axwell, Mylo, Martinez, Sebastian Ingrosso, Wally Lopez, Mark Knight and more. David's DJ style is unique… fusing his soulful style with electronic influences. He's always liked to present a variety of music to his audiences and his favourite sets have been known to last several hours. It wasn't long before the DJ'ing failed to completely quench the thirst… and soon Production seemed the next logical progression. Together with friend and fellow DJ ‘Danny Freakzoid' he remixed the ‘Bush II Bush' release ‘Piano Track' that got a release on Cr2 Records and went on to great success in the UK's Club Charts. In Switzerland the name David Jimenez is synonymous with good quality house music, and since the age of 13 David has been carving a reputation as one of the most talented djs/produces to emerge from the countries house seen in many years. This reputation has lead to remixes on labels such as Cr2 Records & Fling in the UK, but it wasn’t until this year that he decided to take what he felt was the next logical step, starting his own label! In February 2008 Tentigo records was born, and what a launch it had with David’s first single ‘Studio 69’ getting remixed by the likes of fellow rising stars Worthy, and Nick & Danny Chatelain. The release found favour with some of the worlds biggest djs, getting major support from the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Roger Sanchez, Sander Klienenberg, Claude Von Stroke, SOS, Ivan Smagge, Satoshi Tomiie & Tom Stephan to name a few. Now David returns with another outstanding single ‘Scirocco’. With another awesome set remixes (incl. Cedric Gervais Remix), get ready for this to blow, and further cement his name not just in Switzerland, but around the world, as one of the hottest prospects in house music! So the future is looking very bright for David Jimenez and Tentigo… make sure you keep an eye on them!

Forensic Records is proud to welcome Behrouz as he sculpts out a personal deep cosmic voyage, dense with filtered arpeggios, white noise, and pleasant melody lines that never lets go of the free flowing emotion. Expertly executed, Where Are You Now? as a tribute to his daughter, swerves in and out of a number of analog-synth motifs and smooth chord vamps underpinned by a more traditional deep progressive vibe.
Following his last successful “Scirocco” release for Tentigo comes David Jimenez’ follow up single “Barca”. Alongside the original comes a killer remix by La Factoria's boss and Spain's number one dj/producer Wally Lopez, which ensures that this package is sure to be a summer smash. Included is also a Marco Berto remix who already convinced with releases on Steve Lawler's Viva Music. And last but not least with Toby's remix which is a good alternative to the original.
David returns with another outstanding single 'Scirocco'. With another awesome set remixes by Cedric Gervais (Yoshitoshi Records) and Le Noir & Meriton (Gigolo Records), get ready for this to blow, and further cement his name not just in Switzerland, but around the world, as one of the hottest prospects in house music!
David Jimenez presents his new Production 'Studio 69', the debut from 'Tentigo Records'. A super electronic jack-fest that is sure to be played by DJ's of all genres. Remix-wise Jimenez has shown great foresight, bringing in Ovum artists Danny & Nick Chatelain (who darken things up and deliver a main room giant), and Dirtybird crew member Worthy (who chimps things up with his upside down bass heavy roller) to deliver a mix debut mix package that many more established labels would be proud of!
As summer finally seems to be arriving in the UK (we hope), Fling Recordings return with another dancefloor bomb following the excellent debut release by label boss Luke Dzierzek . Now its time for another 22 year old, Le Noir from Switzerland to showcase his outstanding talent with a record that looks set to cross the genre boundries and become a future classic. The Main mix is a string laden masterpiece that has been massive in Ibiza and has received accolades from techno luminaries such as Laurent Garnier, Matthew Johnson, Agoria, Carl Craig, Martin Buttrich & many more.
Bush 2 Bush is Andry Nalin and Gregor Wagner, two German house pioneers who have released the smashing The Piano Track earlier this year on Satoshi Tomiis's SAW Recordings label. This warm piano house tune proved to be a real floor-filler in the hands of many house DJ's this summer, as well as being voted Essential New Tune by Pete Tong. CR2 Records brings you the full release containing no less than 7 versions of this hottie!
CR2 is rapidly expanding its range of quality vinyls by releasing another big tune on one of its sister labels: CR2trax. Former Defected A&R Spencer Parker delivers a serious club slammer that has already been favoured by artists such as Pete Tong, Tiga and Deep Dish.
David Jimenez & Danny Freakzoid's remix for Tim B & Greg Di Mano.
