David Karns is a world class bassist having studied the art of the bass with Lynne Davis of the LA Music Academy, with Dave LaRue (Steve Morse, Dixie Dregs), Tom Kennedy (Al Dimeola, Dave Weckl) and Adam Nitti. In the studio and on stage – David Karns displays a technical proficiency seldom displayed while simultaneously providing an organic R&B based groove. Karns has toured with the Michael Sweet Band (Stryper), Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep), the Javier Mendoza Band and is currently touring and recording full time with the New Soul Cowboys. David is an avid Harley-Davidson rider and is amongst his fellow peers when the NSC frequently takes the stage at the major bike rallies across the country.
David has in place a full artist endorsement deal with Phil Jones Bass, Warrior Instruments and D'Addario Strings.
