•••Composer, Lyricist & Performer David Maddox has created five award-winning musicals (LIFT: Icarus and Me; Sing Down the Moon; Mississippi Pinocchio; Perseus Bayou; The Odyssey of Telémaca -- three published by Dramatic Publishing) and two dance-theatres (The Nightingale; Gandhara, both commissioned by the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC).
•••David is currently working on PERFUME RIVER -- a New Orleans musical about the qualities of swamp water -- with Mary Hall Surface and Grammy winner Jon Carroll.
•••As a performer he toured extensively with the Irish/Fusion bands Wicky Sears and Tuin, bands that released two albums; he has recently appeared in productions at Arena Stage and Chautauqua Theatre Company.
•••New music theatre works includes "Paradise" (commissioned by Signature Theatre of Washington).
•••He has created scores and sound designs for more than 100 productions around the US. David has received 13 Helen Hayes Award nominations (winning once for Nijinsky’s Last Dance) and produced six albums of original music, including three award-winning Original Cast Albums.
