David Moon, singer / songwriter, currently plays bass, vocals & guitar for the Mudd Brothers. Some previous bands and projects that David has contributed to include: Bad Actors, 3 North, The Go-Betweens, Park & Saloonatix.
David describes his start in music, "All it took was flipping over the Apple 45 of "Hey Jude" and hearing the first few bars of "Revolution" and I was hooked. That's what I wanted to do. I want a guitar and I want to make it sound like that. After mowing lawns in the summer and shoveling snow in the winter, I bought my first guitar for $26 dollars from Trent Reznor's Dad and I started my wonderful musical journey. It's been 30 years and I still love it."
"I've had some great moments with music- I opened for the Flock of Seagulls in the eighties when I still had some crazy hair, I was in the band "Park" that played in the Tompkins Square Park bandshell during the infamous 1988 riot in NYC, played for several thousand people when I was 16 for a Woodstock reunion and had all the people at JC Dobbs dancing on the tables to our music one summer night in Philly- Bad Actors"
"Would I do it all over again? HELL YES!"
David is happily married and is the proud father of three great kids. He resides in rural Pennsylvania.
Mudd, We appreciate you being our friend and visiting our MySpace page. Attached are two different versions of Black Angel. This first shows Black Angel a few years ago with left to right in picture: Ronnie Turner (bass player and son of Ike and Tina Turner); Cory Orosco, keyboards; Ernie Orosco, guitar; and me on lead vocals and guitar. The second photo shows the Black Angel line up with (clockwise from the top) Tedy Madl, drums; Heather Wynalda, percussion and vocals; Dave Parker, bass; and me in the front with a guitar on lead vocals and guitar. Best wishes.
