  • Influences

I have had a great many influences on my music and not just from the folk world. I love Thin Lizzy and currently like the Artic Monkeys in the indie and rock scene and really like the writing of James Taylor, Stan Rogers and a fairly unknown but great writer called the Montana Tunesmith. My family are very musical and my grandmother was an opera singer and my mother spent a lot of her life on the stage. Other influences are people like the Sands Family from my local area, the great songwriters and singers Tommy Makem and Liam Clancy, Tim O'Brien and songs of the old tradition passed on from generation to generation.. Currently I have been very interested in the writings of Irish songstress aila Patterson and the current music of Scottish group Brebach, so all in all it is a pretty mixed bag
  • Sounds Like

I have been told that I sound like myself and a few others thrown into the mix so I would be more than happy to get your opinions as to how I sound and who I resemble.............in the nicest ways i hope!!!
