Hailing from subtropical Brisbane on Australia's eastern coast, singer-songwriter David Peachey evokes lush and organic folk-rock sounds, telling poignant and thoughtful tales of the heart's struggle.
Fiercely independent, self-taught and versatile, David writes, composes and arranges all his own music, and plays most of the instruments heard on his CDs. Described as similar to Nick Drake, Yes, REM, Coldplay and The Cure, David's recordings transcend his live guitar-and-voice style, often using classical or ethnic instruments such as cello, berimbau and pipa. Even in the more rock-oriented songs, his gentle and often haunting singing shines through.
In 1998 he released his first EP, Saving Up for a Rainy Babe, which was followed in 2003 by his debut album Thrasody. Two soujourns in Europe during Thrasody's production helped inspire his next CD, Bloemenraad, released in 2007. David has recently released his latest album, Imaginary People.
Aside from the Australian radio stations already familiar with his music, David has also gained radio play in both North and South America, Asia and Europe.
Recently David has been creating music for impro-theatre performances such as It Came from Somewhere Else, Improck and Gorilla Theatre, and has composed music for several theatre productions, most recently for The Repeated Bombing of Philip Boucher-Hayes, Luurrv!, and In 1916 by Irish theatre group Company D. He has also collaborated with lyricists from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Czech Republic.

A bit more about me... I like to meet people from all over, and am interested in foreign cultures. I also speak several European languages as well as English (Nederlands, Français, Italiano) plus a couple of Asian languages (eg.bahasa indonesia), and try to practice them when I can.
I also love travelling, and am happy to meet with my friends from all over! Plus I like cooking very much. It's a kind of therapeutic meditiation, and helps keep my sanity together. ;)

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
Christian

How are you? Sorry i've been very busy taking care of my sick dad and catching up with work.. hope all is well with you.
I'm giving you... -THE GIFT OF LIVING IN A WAY THAT IS REWARDING TO YOU-
One of the secrets of happiness is to take time to accomplish what you have to do, then to make time to achieve what you want to do.
Remember that life is short. Its golden moments need hopes and memories and dreams. When it seems like those things are lost in the shuffle, you owe it to yourself to find them again. The days are too precious to let them slip away. If you're working too hard, make sure it's because it's a sacrifice for a time when you're going to pay yourself back with something more important than money could ever be. If you're losing the battle, do what it takes to win the war over who is in control of your destiny.
Find time, make time, take time...to love, to smile, to do something rewarding and deeply personal and completely worthwhile. Time is your fortune, and you can spend it to bring more joy to yourself and to others your whole life through. Time is your treasure. And instead of working so hard for it, do what it takes to make it work...for you.
