David's music career came from a humble beginning, with a few friends in Houston, TX who simply wanted to play a few shows for their families and close friends. As time continued and David's writing began to mature, it quickly became evident that there would soon be more in store than just backyard gigs.
A move to Dallas, TX for school threw David into several relationships that pushed his passion even further. Over the next 5 years he would form a band and release three albums. "11503 Lansbury" (2003), "Human" (2005), and "While Underneath Lights" (2007). As much fun as it was traveling with three of his closest friends David became quickly dissatisfied with writing and performing the pop music they had been widely known for. It was time to make a change and in late 2007 the band broke apart and David moved to Nashville to pursue what pushed him into music in the first place. Folk.
This move to Nashville was to date the most pivotal point in not only David's music career but in his life as well. It was there that he saw just how deep the rabbit hole goes and was left with a haunting question. Is this what I want to be doing with my life? In May 2008 David quit his job, sold his belongings, and set out across America to try and answer this question.
His first stop was Birmingham, Alabama where he cut an acoustic EP affectionately titled "Birmingham: An Acoustic EP". Six months and 32,000 miles later he had his answer and with a newly developed passion and determination he continues to write and perform where and whenever he can.
Now David lives in Austin, TX and continues to play around his home state as well as travel the great US of A.
