Il est très connu pour jouer des gammes et des arpèges avec sa guitare à 7 cordes. Biography: DAVID “SHRED DEMON” SHANKLE
David Shankle “The Shred Demon”, Chicago, IL is one of the most respected and talented COMPOSER GUITARISTS shredding up the metal scene today. To all MANOWAR and DSG fans, he is one of the top 10 shredders and fastest guitarists in the world. He is well known for playing 7 string over-the-neck scales and arpeggios, string skipping, and a master of many guitar techniques. HE IS KNOWN TO PLAY OVER-THE-NECK GUITAR FASTER THAN MOST GUYS PLAY NORMALLY. David was a member of MANOWAR from 1988 to 1994, playing on the epic, certified-platinum album “The Triumph Of Steel” and co-writing 4 songs including “Master Of The Wind”, “The Burning”, “Ride the Dragon”, and “Demon’s Whip”. After setting out on his own, David attended Roosevelt Music University in Chicago to improve his jazz and classical guitar skills. "Your Music Cleared the Wax from My Ears!!!! What kind of electric drill did you use for those solos? Holy crap man those leads will rip your lips off! After hearing this album I'm convinced that "DSG" stands for "Dangerous Speed Guitar!" Besides the 'pegged metronome solos' your rhythm guitar sound is huge and totally aggressive, yet it is well balanced with all the other instruments in the mix. Nice and clean production. The unaccompanied guitar solo that incorporated the clean guitar stuff was really cool too, I thought the clean sections really broke up the rest of the lead and came in really unexpectedly. It sounds like there is a good mixture of different types of material on the album which should keep metal-heads intrigued throughout the listening journey. Stylistically there are some cool straight ahead triplet double-bass ball buster tunes as well as "Ashes To Ashes" and the very catchy "Calling All Heroes" anthem types for the masses. Sounds to me like you've got a winning combination of cool instrumental music and polished vocal songs destined for a huge and diverse audience. Keep those strings moving and fingers flying!"

"I had met David Shankle about 10 years ago for the first time when he came out to our studio “Octagon Studios” to have Mike McCarron play some drums on a few songs and was just blown away. Mike & I had never herd such a ferocious guitar player. Now ten years later I am the new bass player for his band DSG and will be playing bass for his instrumental records as well. I have been recording the new DSG record “Hellborn” for about 2 months and THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST CHALLENGED I HAVE EVER BEEN IN MY CARREER. David’s Speed is just insane and he can do all of his solos under or over the neck which is just mind blowing. It was in the summer of 2005, when I actually met Dave for the first time in New York during rehearsals for the European tour where Manowar, Rhapsody of Fire and HolyHell were all rehearsing together. Growing up, I was an avid fan of instrumentalists, especially guitarists such as Satriani, Michael Angelo (Batio) ans Vinnie Vincent. Blazing fast solos always fascinated me and pumped me up.
