About me:
I am a journalist, nationally syndicated newspaper columnist and book author (you can find my full biography here. My first book was just published in 2006 - it is entitled Hostile Takeover and was a New York Times bestseller. My next book, entitled "The Uprising," is due out in 2006. My weekly column, which was launched by Creators Syndicate in the Fall of 2007, now appears in newspapers with a combined daily circulation of more than 1.3 million readers. These include, among others, The Denver Post, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Seattle Times, The Idaho Statesman, The Everett Herald, and the Idaho Falls Post Register. I have appeared on, among others, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and The Colbert Report. I have been published in, among others, the Washington Post, the NY Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. I serve as a senior editor for In These Times magazine and a blogger at Credo Action. I also serve as a board member of the Progressive States Network and a senior fellow at the Campaign for America's Future - both 501(c)3 nonpartisan research organizations.
