As I work feverishly on the new Little Sisters Of the Poor record, I take some time to play a few shows with the greatest rock band that ever existed, ever, The Sand Rubies... in honor of these upcoming shows, I’ve got the original Witchdoctor video here for you, I believe from 1990. Good times. MTV loved us. We haven’t changed a bit. Oh, to be 12 again.... When you stop laughing, may I remind you that we do still rock. And your appetite should be suitably whetted for authentic desert rock, brought to you by the grandfathers of said rock. Below that, you’ll find that Zsa Zsas VHI video, which seems to be mildly popular here...enjoy...at my expense...
victory...
The rest of this is the belated clearinghouse for ALL the music I’m involved in. The acts we’ll attempt to keep updated are Sand Rubies, Little Sisters Of the Poor, The Zsa Zsas, the infrequent, but stellar Silverfox, the late, great Maryanne and the nearly wonderful Therapists.
If you are interested in any of these acts specifically, there is some other more in depth resources available and a couple on the way. Sand Rubies will soon have "Sandrubies.com" up and running - keep an eye out for that - but Rich has a good deal of stuff already available at his Sanjacintorecords.com site. You’ll be able to track down Sand Rubies, Sidewinders and of course all of Rich Hopkins endeavors there.
Cal at Contingency Records has set up a Maryanne myspace that has more songs and more details about this fine band over at myspace/maryanneaz. He might even be able to track down an album for you. Great record!
Soon enough we will have a Little Sisters Of The Poor Myspace up, but in lieu of that, I’ll be posting work in progress’s as we build the new record. Heck, I might even start adding the vocals. We are extremely excited about this record and hope you will eventually understand why we are are enthusiastic as we are.
Also, the near and dear TAMHA -Tucson Artists And Musicians Healthcare Alliance - may hijack this page anytime it sees fit.
