Dreams are not easily explained. They are not communicated very well most of the time. Half of the time, even the person who has the dream can not even remember it themselves let alone tell someone else about it. When I was little, I use to wish very much that I had a machine that I could hook up to my brain as I slept at night that would record my dreams just like a VCR can record a television show. Of course I never was able to have anything like that, but it was at that particular time in my childhood that I became very concerned with expressing myself; to make it known to other people who were willing to take notice of me that I am as original as possible. All I knew is that I had a unique individuality that I was desperate to share with others. As I got older, I found ways of doing that through drawing, sketching, sculpting, painting, and photography. I even learned how to play a drum set in a band for the first time in my life. Playing in that band was the closest I ever had come to my real passion which is music. At that time, I still did not understand why I had such a strong passion for music, but as I read my Bible more, I began to discover why. Since I am a Christian, I happen to believe that everyone has a purpose in life. Everyones passions and interests in life are God given so that they can fulfill their purpose. Whether or not each person is willing to use their gifts is what it really comes down to. My gift is music, and I could not be happier doing anything else. I was not aware of it all the time, but music had always been my real desire since I was a child. I actually learned how to sing different tunes before I learned how to talk. I love music. But it eventually became an issue with me because it got to the point where, instead of sleeping, I would be up late at night sometimes just trying to somehow articulate my musical ideas onto paper so I could eventually make it come to life. It was a big problem. I had a lot of ideas and no way of expressing them because of my lack of skills. It drove me absolutely crazy to have all that musical and creative energy building up but no way of channeling it. It was torture and it went on for years. Finally, as I became more comfortable with writing a song and writing poetry, I became better at having it reflect how I really felt about serious issues and not just be about teenage angst or whatever. Eventually, I even developed an ear for piano and picked up on some skills related to playing the piano. Later on, I started to really develop my vocal chords as well. So when I learned these new writing skills and instruments, I was finally able to vent all the pressure I had been building up for so many years. Many people ask me why I create, and the only answer I have to that is this, its just in me. If I did not have any means of creating music, I would loose my sanity while Im here on this planet. I am a dreamer. As I said before, dreams are not easily explained, but that will not stop me from trying to articulate mine. It is my mission to create until I can create no more.
