Bio for David Todd Singleton--
David began singing and playing the piano at four years of age. While his brothers and sisters were busy watching cartoons, David could be found at the piano patiently trying to make his fingers and voice match what he clearly heard in his head.
At six years of age, David's family would make the first of many moves. This time to Orlando, FL. where David became a regular singer and actor in the Electric Light Parade for Disney World.
When David was twelve years old, by then an accomplished singer and pianist, he was invited to perform in front of a crowd of more than 120,000 people at the Orlando Sports Stadium for a 4th of July celebration under the direction of the great conductor – Thurlow Spurr.
The very next year his mother remarried and moved David and his family to the Great Northwest. David quickly acclimated and began performing in vaious bands and vocal competitions. At 16 years of age he won 'best male vocalist' in the Mt. Hood Vocal Jazz Competetion under the direction of Paul Salomonivich – the original conductor of the Vienna Boys' Choir and author of “It's A Small World After All”.
During his senior year of high school, David formed and became the lead singer in his band, “Ivory”. After making several dozens appearances around the Northwest, David was picked up by another more establisthed band called, “Nightlife” and given a one year contract as their lead singer.
After graduating high school valedictorian, David attended Emerson College in Boston for receiving 'best male vocalist' by years end. Instead of returning to college the next year, David made the trip to Los Angeles and, within one month, had joined forces with Robert Palmer's studio band where he was invited to record the background vocals for the hit, “Addicted To Love”.
David further went on to record with Fleetwood Mac on the last album entitled, “Rock A'little”.
David moved back to Oregon and for one year began appearing nightly at “Raffiti's On The Waterfront” as their headliner.
After one year, David moved to Nashville and soon began appearing nightly at the 106 Club. David's regulars included Wynona Judd and Steve Winwood who took him under their wing.
A couple years later, David moved to Lexington, KY merely to open a Bed and Breakfast with his mother and began performing in Club 141 and Club Underground.
Since then, David has been busy writing more then 137 original songs for motion pictures and radio. His latest CD entitled “THUNDERSOUNDS-THE COMPLETE COLLECTION” is a compilation of eight original piano solos set against a 'live thunderstorm'.
