Art, music, reading, movies, technology, guitar playing, photography, and a whole lot more.
Music
I love music of almost any type. Some of my favorites are X, Social Distortion, The Jam, Bad Religion, Dead Can Dance, Laurie Anderson, House of Freaks, Neil Young...but I also like Artie Shaw, Beethoven, world music, whatever.
Movies
Citizen Kane, every Kubrick film, most film noir including Kiss Me Deadly, Double Indemnity, Pickup on South Street and dozens more. I could fill pages with movies.
Books
"On the Road" by Jack Kerouac, "Bound For Glory" by Woody Guthrie, anything by Haruki Murakami.
About me:
I'm an artist who works primarily in scratchboard: a piece of wood coated with a thin layer of white clay, which is then coated completely with black ink. When dry, I scratch through the ink with fine knives to reveal the white clay beneath. Each white line you see in my work is a scratch through the ink. I also make etchings and relief prints.
I live in Los Angeles and my studio is in Hollywood. I am a former cinematographer and occasional pinhole photographer.
