David Upton is a singer/songwriter and a Contemporary Christian Artist with a strong passion for worship. David recently released his first studio recording, The “Unshackled” EP, which highlights David’s diversity and songwriting… He is currently writing more songs and looking to complete his next recording project in 2009.

Everyone who comes in contact with David recognizes that there is a clear call on his life to worship God with high energy and humble passion. A gifted musician and leader, David's "real" heart for God engages people, drawing them into an encounter with God in a unique and meaningful way.

David has spent the past 3 years focused on serving as a Worship Pastor at Saddleback Church, in Lake Forest, California (led by Pastor Rick Warren (Author of The Purpose Driven Life). David also had the opportunity to travel around the country leading worship and performing for churches and conferences of all sizes and denominations during his tenure at Saddleback.

In October of 2008, David and his wife Sabrina realized that God was calling them to Nashville, TN and they made the big move in December. Now that they are settling into their new life, only God knows for certain where their ministry will focus next but David and his family are moving forward on faith with a strong desire to serve God in ministry wherever God might lead them next.

David has the ability to assemble his own band or he can serve alongside an existing band for: • Worship Leader • Concerts • Worship/Session Vocalist & Musician • Worship Team Consulting

David is a gifted vocalist, songwriter, and musician with a dedicated heart for drawing his audiences into a lifestyle of authentic and heartfelt worship. David has a pastor’s heart and he enjoys the leadership aspects of his role just as much as the creative.
