David grew up listening to classic country music and has a strong passion and natural talent for music. He tought himself how to play the guitar by merely listening to an old Charlie Pride song in his childhood years. He was lead vocals and guitar in the band Whiskey River Revue from 1975-1989 and quit to be able to spend more time to raise his family. Now that all his kids are grown, he is venturing his way back into the music scence. David is currently playing small gigs and open mic nights at local bars around Houston and is always on the look out for opportunities to play. He has roughly recorded about 10 original songs for his company label, DVL Productions.
