"Yes! The David Wax Museum. The David Wax Museum!...Stop trying to resist; let the engine warm up for awhile, find the moonshine jug, put on 'There Was a Bridge' and head straight for the mountains. Under Ozark moonlight, you will discover a certain lightness, a juniper sensation soused in honey and cardamom, the sweet scent of the ages." -- American Songwriter Magazine
"I was amazed. The songs I heard streaming blend Americana with a Latin flavor in a breathtaking display of musicianship..."There Was A Bridge" is the sort of song that others should dream of writing...They've opened for The Avett Brothers and The Everybodyfields. If you dig those bands, Calexico, and Iron & Wine, then say hello to a new favorite." --

hey, cool to see ya play in the daylight again and me being in a not-drunk state. i still listen to your album quite a bit (can i gush some more?). "the door is ajar" is one of the most lyrically adept tunes i've ever heard. the violin playing and the intensity on "there was a bridge" is stunning. the use of the left and right channel mixing across the album is unique and lovely to listen to. a perfect mixture of life, sorrow, and love. and somehow every show i've seen has been free. what's up with that? anyway, i wish you all the best and look forward to all future dates and and future tunes. (and every wash cycle i look forward to wearing the dwm t-shirt. :-) ) cheers.
