A prayer for altruism: (Dalai Lama-Central Park 1999)

May the poor find wealth,
Those weak with sorrow find joy;
May the forlorn find new hope,
Constant happiness and prosperity.
May the frightened cease to be afraid
And those bound be free;
May the weak find power,
And may their hearts join in friendship.

I am an American from New York, living in Australia (Macedon Ranges , Vic) Photographer/Artist.

I've been filming my neighbor who's going to be 80 at Christmas time ...and her horse who is her best friend...It's been really great to hear all about how she's lived and to hear all her stories.(About her other horses mostly....but you'll see once the film is done..)

I'm going to continue to film her when I go over for a visit. I'm always impressed and inspired by her strength and passion for life. I'm finding a strong resonance between the way I live my life and the way she lives hers. We do our own thing the way we feel is right. And we spend lots of time doing what we love to do.

I think I'm looking for an explanation for my own life in a way. I seem to just make up my life as I go along...I don't need too much structure to tell me what to do. I just do what I feel is right. And invent projects....purposeful projects that make my life better. I focus on the things I love....and people I love. And I enjoy being the person who takes joy in creating the kind of environment that encourages love and fun times.

I also have a beautiful young Quarter Horse that I bred named "Chica" and I have a beautiful daughter named Alexa who lives with me 7days at a time....Friday to friday on a week on week off basis. She still occupies the majority of my attention and I love her more than anything in this world.


We live....about 50 minutes north of Melbourne in the country. It's very green & quiet here. After 20 years of living in New York City it's really nice to have a big house and some space. My daughter loves running around outside and she has everything she needs and she's doing amazingly well.

Alexa is lovely kind thoughtful child. She's everything to me. Also I have a bunch of animals, 3 dogs & and a cat. I am discovering / reinventing myself artistically and personally. I'ts hard not to mention that I've had a rough time after my life was put upside down by my Ex wife. But now things are much better and I am concentrating on my work.

I've just started dating again after about 3 or 4 years. For a long long time I thought I could not love again...but now I am sure that I can. Had a short relationship with a nice girl.... it didn't work out. (that's ok) It's weird but I am actually happy that I know that my heart still works well emotionally as well as for the usual pumping action. I feel that I'm back. And I'm starting a whole new life and I'm keen to find out what's going to happen next! I've been contacting lots of old friends via internet lately and I have to mention how much it means to me. Alexa, Susan , Kim, Kim....We love you! Can't wait to see you again when we are back in America!!! xoxox
