Started in 2006 as the brainchild of Bernal Ibarra and Andrea Dawn Coulston. Mike Glessing came into the project early enough to be considered a founding member. They play an eclectic mix of up-tempo, funky, soulful originals and cover all the great tunes that are sure to get a crowd up and moving. 5 years later DITC is still creating its own brand of funky soul rock-n-roll...

They co-produced their first full length album called "Groove In Every Stitch" with good friend Singer/Songwriter/Producer Todd Dunsmore from the Vancouver Island Group called Kings Without. Album released May 14th 2010. The album was recorded at The Factory Studios in Vancouver and Dawnsmore Studios in Nanaimo B.C. Mixed by Todd Dunsmore an Shaun Howells. This album is raw! A real experience if you are into the vintage rock and roll, soul sound. Bernal exposes his mind for he world to hear. Dawn in the City's front man Bernal Ibarra is a dynamic performer whose style is infused with diverse musical tastes, mixing classic soul vocals, driving R&B organ, brazen funk rhythms and fiery rock and roll guitar. 4 years later, they are still hard at it, refining their skills and inspirations to define the Dawn In The City sound, present and future
