Bio
Emerging from the small town of Dundas, Ontario, indie folk group Dawn and Marra rose to win the 2010 Hamilton Music Awards Rising Star competition. Soon afterwards they released their first album and had a busy summer festival season. Their most notable gig was the First Annual Green Belt Harvest Picnic where Dawn and Marra shared the stage with many renowned acts including Daniel Lanois, Ray Lamontagne, Gord Downie, The Reason, Sarah Harmer, and more. Dawn and Marra have recently worked with noted Canadian Producer/Engineer/Mixer Dan Weston (who has produced The Paper Lions, Northcote and Attack in Black) on their single A Love Letter. They are now focusing their attention on an EP to be recorded in the summer of 2012. "These two young ladies' incredible harmonies and engaging original songs establish them as a must see act in the indie-folk revival." -
