I'm Dawn a rock/goth girlie who has come across a talent for writing and playing Folk music.

Since I was small I've always been involved in music and performing whether it is in orchestras, choirs or singing and dancing in theatre.

Its only been the last 3 years that I've really begun to share my talent for music with others, starting off by being one half of a folk duo called the "Forget-me-Nots" with my friend Becky Syson, which was a lot of fun and got me hooked on the whole performing and writing thing.

My own material is influenced by life in general & what it can throw at us be it good or bad, dreams, places & things or people that inspire me along the way.

You could describe my songs as a heartfelt eclectic mix of styles which include folk, rock, country and blues.

These past 3 years have been a real roller coaster for me with 2007 being the most exciting. I have got to play a lot more gigs and seen a lot more places. My favourite being the Songwriters Sundays at the Maze and the most interestingly enjoyable has to go to Loggerheads where I played in a cave! Idea for a goth I hear you cry. I also go to support the Hall Brothers at the Woodlark in December which was not only an honour but a real inspiration.

2008 started really slowly but then July brought a busy spell which thankfully lasted until December. I also wrote some new songs and perfected some of my playing. I'm hoping 2009 will be as successful although the economy is taking its toll on the gigging with some venues not booking artists making it impossible to get to play live which I LOVE. As a result I'm in the process of doing a CD single then hopefully an album later on this year.
