My heros are people who have blessed lives; prestige, power, fame, fortune, who give back to the world. That impresses me. Also, people who do the right thing, even when it is hard.
I am first of all a proud mother of a beautiful daughter, Jade. She is the sun, moon and stars in my heaven. For me she is my heart.
My childhood was rough and my teen years were worse. I survived a thirty-two year old porn star's abuse at the age of 15 to 21. He dragged me with him through a sick world of drugs, beatings and murder...The Wonderland Murders. Hollywood made the film "Wonderland" that tells parts of that story. I was lucky enough to be played by Kate Bosworth. Now I'm lucky enough to be able to write my story and have it published by Medallion Press next year in 2010. I'm also lucky and blessed to be an advocate for abused teens and women. I am launching my presentation on throwaway teen abuse prevention. I have a blog at www.dawn-schiller.com
So, here is where I am now. Editing my book, speaking out for victims and raising my amazing daughter.

Hey Dawn.... checked out the website... all I can say is wow!... I guess I will have to read the book now.... much respect to you for coming out of all of it strong... as far as playing next, we will be at Bud Jackson's on the 14th of November with our friends from 45th Parellel....
