Dawson Community College is a two-year public college located in Glendive, Montana. Glendive is the economic, cultural, and educational hub of Northeastern Montana. Glendive is situated between the Yellowstone River and Makoshika State Park, Montana's largest state park.
DCC offers many different areas of study including, but not limited to generals, science, art, agriculture, welding, education, law enforcement, business, web development, computer support systems, music, engineering, early childhood education, and more.
The Buccaneer basketball, baseball and softball teams compete in NJCAA athletics, with the rodeo team competing in the NIRA. Our teams have been successful in the region for many years, and the rodeo program earned a national championship in 1981. For the 2008-2009 year, DCC will be competing in NJCAA Volleyball and Golf.
The newest addition to our campus is the Toepke Center, which houses a 2,000 seat gymnasium, weightrooms, a 300 seat auditorium, and various music performance rooms. Our student living complex consists of three halls with a total of 36 two-bedroom 4-person apartments, complete with kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, and storage areas. Our baseball and softball complex is located just north of our dorms.
