Dawsons Music is one of the longest serving music retailers in the U.K., established in 1899 in Warrington in the North West of England. Over many successful years of trading Dawsons has changed many times, in order to reflect the buying trends of the day.
The time of biggest change was in 1979 when the Dawsons family sold the company, and the new owners set about changing the way the business was structured.
Of all the multiple outlet chains in the U.K., Dawsons has one unique advantage, we sell all things musical, to all type of musicians. Most music retailers in the U.K. have become more specialised in their approach, however our vision is to be the most efficient, pro-active and customer focussed organisation in the industry.
We have also made sure that we have a unique number of ways that we can support products in the marketplace, and it is this diversification that has allowed us to grow to become one of the top U.K. retailers.
Who I'd like to meet: For any queries regarding our prices, promotions, or anything else please feel free to e-mail us at liverpool@dawsons.co.uk, or alternatively you could phone on 0151 709 1455.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the second edition of OLDE TIME RELIGION is almost upon us. The event, hosted by The Great Northwestern Hoboes at The Zanzibar in Liverpool, is to be held on Saturday 18th August and bolsters an amazing line-up of bands including The Inventors, The Silk Traders, Invisible Republik, The Last Gambados and, of course, The Hoboes themselves.
Dunno whether it will interest you or not but our 'Project B' demo is finished and will be online in the next few hours! Actually, it was finished a few weeks ago! We wanted to do 2 more songs on it but because the band has changed dramatically since the 2 new songs on the demo were written, we have decided to bring 'Project B' out as the last collaboration from just Ste and Craig (although Dave did alot of the guitar on 'Live and Take').
From now on, New Projects are writing together as a full band so the direction of the music is sure to change again (only slightly of course). But it's exiting times for the band and HOPEFULLY GIGS WILL BE JUST A COUPLE OF MONTHS AWAY! (we want to be really good before we grace the stage!!!)
The hard copy of Project B - The Cost contains the two new tracks "Live and Take" and "Times Have Truly Changed" but also contains the very first song that Craig and Ste recorded back in July 2005 called "The Sea of Infidelity" which does not really tie in with the theme of the demo but it's just a little bonus track!
Hope you like the songs (sorry full versions on CD only!)
I did a rough recording today and I wanted to share it with all of our 139 loyal Myspace friends. It's nothing to do with New Projects (yet) but just something I had to do.
So, let me just begin by saying I am not trying to use someone’s dire situation to boost or further my own gains or the band’s image. This song just ‘happened’ to me. I was on a holiday in Sardinia when on the side of one of the fountains I saw a poster, written in Italian, but the face on the poster was all too familiar.
When I got home I woke one morning and put all the feelings into words and came up with 'Helpless'. It's rough as sandpaper but in this case it's about the message, not the music.
NOW UPLOADED ON OUR PROFILE!! – 3 New Songs, The NEW EP –Escape! Glorious Escape!
Available from I-Tunes in July ’07. Please support new music and buy a track.
… and don’t forget…..
