The daylight saints, a concept of inspired creativity is about to become the reason you got up this morning. The band formed in June 2007 after mike chased down pete in a road rage incident immediately following their bi-weekly rotary bingo tournament at the knights of columbus hall. While immersed in the altercation, the two spotted matt as he crossed the parking lot with an armful of ceramic giraffes. The rest is history: daylight saints were born.
Their goal is to create, as matt puts it, “Whatever. There are no rules.” There is nothing out there that doesn't influence them. They love music and embrace challenges with open, giraffeless arms. Uncharted waters have become a comfort zone for these lads.
The band plans to tour, record daily, call your house with warm regards, and appear in your living room sharing a cup of tea with your Mum. They have prolifically generated enough material to span an entire career, yet their appetite remains insatiably unsatisfied forcing them to write more everyday. Their first EP is completed and will be available for mass consumption in the very near future.
So no worries about the travel down spencerlane, mike and pete along with matt have put the past behind them and can guarantee our fans, friends, family, & loved ones many ankle bites, backrubs and of course music abounding. For the first time in his extensive career, mike is, “able to create without boundaries and loves the positive new vibe." The daylight saints are enjoying an unfettered lifestyle that is best described by pete as, “a refreshing change.” This time it’s all about delivery, kids.
Complete with thrashing, smashing, and fall-on-the-floor live shows that promise to keep you warmly entertained, these boys are poised and ready for suburban infiltration. Residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania these guys have dedicated their time to making you weak in the knees. And it looks like they are succeeding.
Matt, I'm proud of you little brother. I know you're busy and all, but I miss hearing from you and hanging out. Your the little brother that I've always wished came from the same mother. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to hear more music from you and your band. And hey, I know you may not need any help/etc. from me, but I'm always here to lend a hand if you/you guys ever need anything. Friends of Matt are always welcome to be friends of mine.
