The foundation of murmur was formed in spring of 2004 with Chad Kouse, Sam Haschke and Nakesha Volk. The band proceeded to go through a string of drummers (losing one to spontaneous combustion) and added Tim Staley as a rhythm guitarist and connoisseur of things that make noise in spring of 2005. The band added their latest, greatest, and final drummer in summer 2007 when Dave Pope joined the ranks.
Driven by Chad's songwriting, murmur has blended the sounds of the band's musical influences and distilled that inspiration into an original and unique style all their own.
