Revolution, a night for Industrial and Gothic music fans in Dayton, Ohio, started as a weekly event in early 2003 as a way to bring fans of the music more than what they had previously received from other such events here. The experience Mr. IndustrialPants had from spinning at previous clubs (Jags, 1470 West) and bringing band nights to 1470 West helped with structuring Revolution into a multi-faceted club experience.
Through its lifetime, Revolution has had the pleasure to work with multiple DJ’s including DJ Darkest Eve (now DJ Violaine), Dayton’s first and only female Goth/Industrial DJ, who worked closely with Mr. IndustrialPants to create the night. Fusion (formerly The Asylum) and Parallax (Fusion’s sister club) were the first homes of Revolution. Various guest DJ’s from across the nation came in to spin and Revolution also held CD release parties for new and established artists.
In 2004 Revolution hosted Goth/Industrial upstairs and 80’s/New Wave/Punk downstairs drawing several hundred patrons per night. In addition, the following national acts took the stage there: More Machine Than Man, Black Tape For A Blue Girl, Hungry Lucy, Audra, PTI (twice), backandtotheleft, Assemblage 23, Flesh Field, Filament 38, Stromkern, Ego Likeness, and The CruxShadows.
2009 will bring about the new incarnation of Revolution at Aquarius. This monthly event will feature Mr. IndustrialPants and DJ DitDot, resident DJ of Aquarius since its opening in 2007. DJ DitDot has been at this location since 2003. He previously spun at The Cell Block (now Aquarius) and is also credited with working the lifetime of the preceding G/I night in Dayton, Sanctum at Aquarius. With the combined efforts of Danny Dreadful and Gia Travesty, musicians and veterans of the Dayton scene, we hope to make this the biggest night Dayton has seen in years.

Is it possible that you could actually send out some bulletins a few days in advance? The only reason i even knew about the last one was because DJ Chuck posted a bulletin about but i didn't see it until 10:30pm. Come on now...
