Daywalkers sound is rooted in the diversity of its members, combining the intensity and aggression of hard rock, deep and driving dub inflections fused with electro and hip hop plus the energy of Drum and Bass - breathing life into some genres that have sadly become too formulaic over the past few years.
The band consists of Manchester rock scene stalwart Phil J on guitars – low frequency enthusiast Robin on bass - breaks drummer/turntablist/producer Dom on drums and electronics, plus top ranking drum and bass MC Tonn Piper at the forefront, creating a unique, genre hopping formula – at one moment all funk breaks and slicing metal chops – the next, hip hop beats, electro samples and dub soaked bass lines – straight into hardcore Drum and Bass complete with rhythm skipping lyrics – all the time preaching the truth of everyday conflicts and delivering tales from the shadows of risky, darker, past lives.
Following on from their celebrated early gigs at Sophonic Sessions, Manchesters huge annual urban music festival D-Percussion, the In The City music conference and a guest slot at the ASA LG Action Sports World Championship at the MEN arena, Daywalkers have gone on to gig and tour with many high profile acts such as Pendulum, Skindred, Ugly Duckling, Hed PE, The Pharcyde and Dj Yoda to name but a few.

I loved your gig at the Ruby Lounge on Thursday. It's not very often I go to a gig and listen to a band I haven't heard before and love it straight away. Keep up the good work.
THE MANCHESTER METAL COLLECTIVE ALL-DAYER VOL 4 - DIY or DIE Sunday the 15th of November - Jabez Clegg - 2pm til Late ALL AGES SHOW We're back and this MMC all-dayer is going to be the biggest and best to date by far. For a start it's free, and we have nearly forty bands from Greater Manchester and beyond playing across three stages, as well as a load of DJ's playing some of the most extreme/underground sounds around, and an acoustic jam stage. There will be three bars open, selling cheaper drinks than just about any other venue that will touch a metal event, and there'll be plenty of other entertainment around the venue, including some art, crazy in-crowd performances, live visuals and more. The huge sounds for the day will be provided by SKUM (metal rave rig and shanty town stage), BOLTON METAL ALLIANCE (hosting the second room) and GASHsoundsystem are gonna bring an almighty noise to the other two stages
