About me:

Shaping the musical landscape in his city since his late teens, Mike Zarin is a strong presence in Atlanta’s underground dance scene. After passing out homemade mix tapes to friends and Dj's, Mike got a chance to “Cut His Teeth” at age 17 as an opening DJ at Atlanta’s Lava Lounge.

Always known as the young one, Mike has been immersed in the Atlanta music scene for almost 10 years during which time he has built relationships with Dj's, club owners and music industry heads establishing himself as an influential tastemaker. In 2004 it was only fitting that Mike began hosting Houseworks, one of the longest running radio programs at Georgia State University's WRAS 88.5FM. There, he educated listeners on Dj's and different music genres from around the globe, while cultivating his craft as a master selector/DJ and refining his signature sound with heavy roots in Jazz, Funk, Soul, Afro beat, Dub and Latin influence. Not to be pigeonholed Mike considers himself a Music Aficionado one who feels the vibe of the crowd while creating movements in his mixes that take listeners on a musical high through different moods, seamlessly transitioning from track to track.

In late 2004 Mike formed 4Deep, a grassroots promotional outfit specializing in monthly events, “I called it “Connect” because of the ability to unite people thru music like nothing else could.” Since its conception Mike’s Brainchild has welcomed world renowned Dj's to the city of Atlanta including Roy Davis Jr, Recloose, Boo Williams, Halo, Jamie Thinnes, Dj Garth, Jojo Flores, Charles Webster and others. 4Deep has been synonymous with quality house music while continuing to educate it's patrons on new and emerging talent from all over the world. Outside of Connect, Mike continues his passion for DJing, working with the likes of house music royalty such as Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, King Britt, Tom Middleton & others. Whether it’s a late night loft party in LA, a Sexy rooftop pool party in Atlanta or a sweaty club in NYC, Mike delivers his own eclectic style of house music to the masses. Mike also holds several Residencies in Atlanta as well as DJing around the states.
