About me:
Born and raised in Southern California, I earned my B.A. in Studio Arts: Mixed Media from San Diego State University in 2005 but my real education came from my own life experiences. I love architecture and interior spaces, deep nature, the patina and soul of found objects, bold pop aesthetics and indigenous cultures. I work in various mediums and dimensions, depending on the materials I find around me. The subject matter is derived from social issues like history, politics and anthropology, as well as more personal issues like compassion, fear, love and addiction. I'd like to think of my style as unapologetically simple, profoundly beautiful, and culturally eclectic... but maybe that's just the person I aspire to be - because at heart, I'm just a girl alone in my head with some tunes and a canvas.
