December arrives quietly
As snowflakes fall upon the earth
The silence is deafening
Like the thoughts racing through my mind
Whirling around with the currents of air
Falling through the cracks of a shattered heart
The tears that have fallen in despair
While your life goes about with nary a care
I look to find you amid the whitened land
Reaching out to take your hand
But my hand is frozen in time
For you were never mine
Yet the heart yearns for pure love once again

I like the imagery in this poem , as well as it's tone, I can never know for sure the tempo of a poem till I've heard it read but I like the way this one moves when I read it. It's a good piece of work
