"Following Fancie promptly on stage was (D)(B)(H) which is short for Damaged Bachelor Hood, an experimental noise band from southern Indiana. They projected a home video of a woman wandering around a bathroom with a camera as they made a mess on the floor with their instruments. The sounds emitted from their playing was more akin to dogs getting into the trash but it offered an appropriate end to the Cinemat." -indiana daily student

H.C. Detox Program - v/a CD-R
released by HUMAN CONDUCT records
H.C. Detox Program - v/a compilation CD-R
i wouldn't really recommend sending $7 away for this one, cause it's (literaly) a cd-r and some folded pieces of paper in a dog shit bag - but some really great music is in there too! here's what the record label said: "featuring Sword Heaven, Byron House, Gang Wizard, White Suns, M. Ciccarella & J. Zagers, (D)(B)(H), Big Nurse, & The New Flesh feat. God Willing - total terror-riff-ic noise rock rhythmic derangement. rotted soul / rundown sole of rock. will feature extensive self-help booklet to help you find better ways to aid your days and full info-motion on how to fully and completely detoxify according to our 100% guaranteed program! Comes packaged in dog shit bag."
you can order copies through:

REVIEW::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"Fourteen suitably abrasive and demonic noise, noise-punk, and
free-everything tracks burned onto a CD-R and packaged in a dog shit
bag with a page of explanation/endorsement that includes the promise
that the compilation will "detoxify your entire system, temporarily
'shocking' your nervous system into a position of imbecility and
servitude." The eight artists represented here aren't necessarily
local--it's a regionally agnostic mix--but find their common ground in
Baltimore-based Human Conduct, a rough and raw little local label with
a cassette-tape-heavy back catalog featuring more aural jagged edges
than a glass recycling plant.
Of course, to virgin ears, much of this stuff is going to fall into the broad categories of "abuse" and "why?" With the exception of the instrumental pop dreamscape of M. Ciccarella and J. Zagers' "The Flight of the Feral Pigeon," The Human
Conduct Detox Program isn't conceding anything to square tastes--which,
certain ex-noise bands be damned, is how it should be. For example:
gnashing punk brute the New Flesh collaborating with Philly's God
Willing, one dude making caustic pure-electronic noise, on a song
called "Who Wants Corn?"--some tormented screaming of the titular line,
pummeling drums, and some jet engine sounding combination of guitar and
electronics. The next song, "Egg Bag" by (D)(B)(H), sounds like a
kitchen garbage can being emptied onto a sidewalk, for about a minute.
You get a break at the second to last track, "Nine Movements of the Arm,"
again by (D)(B)(H), which is acoustic sax/drums/bass free-jazz that
makes you wish it had a couple more peers on the compilation, and the
closer, "Hands Tied," by all-around awesome slop/noise-punk collective
Gang Wizard, that sounds like a surf-punk track cooked in a microwave.
It lets you down easy, which is a good thing--after 14 songs of this,
you do start to feel a little imbecilic or caveman-ish, which, again,
is sometimes how this stuff should be." -Michael Byrne, Citypaper, baltimore md.

(D)(B)(H) - "all men are enemies" CD-R
in the form of 3 rather long tracks and a short interlude, d.b.h. totals into a meditative hand gesture without talking about it, without the need to whisper - without "nothing".
featuring a rotating cast of line-up changes on every track while instruments made of wood, brass, gourds, wires & knobs, horsehair and plastic sneer through a series of loosely/non-structured improvisations. packaged in a jewel case featuring an unauthorized color photograph by bill conley (bongoloids, culturecide, asheville glass r.i.p.) circa 70-or-80-something.

REVIEWS::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
............"This is almost a Middle American free folk album, for those of you into
the Finnish brand, but is also incredibly reminiscent of early Company
improvisation documents. Three longer tracks (and one the clocks in at
just over one minute in length) make up this CDR which is my first
introduction to ?DBH? and this first encounter is truly a pleasant one.
This album breathes new life into a form of music that I thought I
might be growing weary of.
Mostly employing acoustic instruments with some heavily reverbed guitar
elements used in a mostly color and percussive manner; there is a
murmuring shimmer to this group?s improvisations (although the term
?group? should be considered rather loosely here as the line up on each
track differs with Wright, Rhody, and Hubbard appearing to be the glue
that holds this project together so well). Hints of Dixon, Ayler,
Oxley, and at times even some very very subdued Brotzmann make
themselves known here, but XNo BBQX, Keijo, and Chora are not
forgotten. There are also some guest appearances from the likes of
Ghost Mice, Blue Shift and PDA which help take the ensemble in some
very different directions, mainly those not afraid of putting the
needle in the red and letting the tape take its course.
Truly one of the better improvising ensembles I have heard lately and
definitely someone I am going to be keeping an ear out for. I expect
many more good things to come. 8/10" -- Kevin Richards, foxydigitalis
"I was expecting this Bloomington-based octet (and smaller variations
thereon) to be some sorta lumpen-prole primitives, wailing through
toxic sludge like so many of their sub-underground contemporaries. They
have a much firmer handle on technique and compositional pacing than
many of their brethren, however, and manage to create an experimental
chamber-jazz framework in which to unveil all manner of low-bore noise
splatterism. Excellent!" --byron coley, harp magazine

REVIEWS:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"harsh aggressive improv. I sometimes draw diagrams of the music while I review it - crescendi, cycling etc - and the live title track was a square wave. Periods of almost silence, some gentle percussion or puttering suddenly changes to manic noise as the ensemble all make as much high pitched atonal noise as possible, pummeling away before dropping again. The trio is less based on extremes - the music (sound?) barrels along with few quiet spots or full-on assaults and more variety in terms of tempo and combinations (ie there are some slightly slower parts and a few solos etc), but it nevertheless has the impact that forcefully played trumpet/sax/percussion would have when the plan with the brass is not to look for sweet or mellow notes. The density of the music is accentuated by the recording to one-track tape. After playing this you are likely to answer 'eh?' to any questions as it demands loud volume and your ears may very well be bleeding. Played at the right time to the right people this works, but it is definitely not background music!" -ampersand etcetera
"Instrumentation is a mix of brass and strings and the style could loosely be called experimental jazz. Violin strings are scraped while trombone, trumpet and sax are honked apparently at random, occasionally coming together into a grating sound which would set dogs howling and cats running for cover. The work ebbs and well.. unebbs (I just can't bring myself to say 'flows') and the drum and bass provide some context at times. However we frequently return to the constipated brasswork and excoriating strings. If you have a pet loving relative you particularly dislike, get her this for Christmas. Truly awful." -sea of tranquility, music for the new intellectual
"...DBH indulge in the Old Wave Wave Ayleresker Fire Music, which is so lo-fi therefore comes as a Bootleg from Slug's Saloon. Justin Rhody, Clare Hubbard & Keith Wright on trumpet, saxophone and drums give the rustic stain in a stall of free jazz, for a splendid cacophony their last shirt away. If DBH (diameter at breast height) reinforced with slide trombone, violin and flute and bass Sechst to each other, the whole bit verplinkter and grobmaschiger, but again and again with episodes of The Time is Now-blood from the heart aufgeschlitzen wrists." -www.ragazzi-music.de

from "cassette gods" on-line internet blog world:
"Fat double cassette of bizarre folk outsiders on the headquarters of
middle America insanity, Green Tape. Churchburners, like always, do
whatever the hell they feel like, shunning all expectations of
aesthetic continuity. Song titles range from “Sluts Fucking Suck” to
“Fucking is for Fuckers” and song-styles range from kazoo beat-boxing
to psych-ward acoustic sing-alongs. Only for the very, very brave. Next
up is DBH which, unfortunately, is an acronym for Diameter at Breast
Height. Musically this translates to raw group puke overloaded with
horns, beer cans being popped open, no-fi percussive splatter, etc. The
first track was recorded at the 2007 International Noise Conference,
but the others were all laid down in Bloomington, IN. Somehow the
home-recorded songs are 90 million times worse-sounding, blown out to
the degree that they sound like nothing...in-the-red anti-music or
vague erratic clatter. Baffling in a way perhaps best described as
“Textbook Green Tape Fuck You-isms.” Tape 2 starts with HMDS (Hand Me
Down Satellites), who I’ve never heard of before and may never again.
But I hope I do, cause this is my favorite side here. Intimate warm
keyboard hieroglyphics (plus occasional guitar) weaving back and forth
in pleasing melody patterns…pools of glowing drones offset by sharper
tonal warblings and pitter-patter drum machine rhythms. Like K Records
Kraftwerk or something. Unexpected! Ex-Quem Quaeritis-ite and full-time
folk loon John Thill closes the collection with six simple folk songs
driven by linear narratives, basic chords, and verse/chorus
arrangements. Live he likes to strip and have nervous breakdowns but
here it’s just singer/songwriter 101 stuff. As plain as day."
