Once upon a time, back in the 80s and 90s, punks and indie rockers made a lot of noise with guitars and drums and stuff. This was OK because, back then, computers and synthesizers were really expensive. But now computers and synthesizers are cheap, so the punks and indie rockers are using those, instead.
