Dbox Records from Italy is a digital label based in Bologna after the meeting between Geeno Bronx from Hallucinator and Dj Cocco from Link Club, both with a long experience in producing and promoting dance music in the Italian clubs scene.
The label promotes new and fresh music from upcoming producers all around the world like drum’n’bass, dubstep & breakbeat with an open mind attitude to all fresh genres and new sounds.
After the Italian bassline 4 venture ( a dnb compilation ), Dbox records lauch its new project with the 3 forthcoming ep of Italian Dubstep producers. New and fresh sound from the massive Italian basement is coming soon…
WHAT WE PUSH:
Mauro Picciau aka Maurs: was born in 1985 in Cagliari, South Sardinia, Italy Drumnbass and dubstep producer/dj, he plays with the DNBCAST and has been involved in Cagliari's dnb scene for few years now. His musical growth, past across from different genres like hiphop, heavymetal, techno and electro, led him to drum and bass in 2000. Only few years after, he threw himself into music production, both developing his own style and deriving inspiration from such big names as Roni Size, Goldie and so on. Up to 2008, with Modulate Recordings's first release together with ARPXP, one of the most important italian producers and with him, in 2008, and from a collaboration with another big sardinian producer, Maver, "the Orchid" sees the light soon being part of the fourth Italian Bassline compilation. Dj Dann: young dj/producer from Milan. Grow up in the hip-hop and reggae scene, after some years discovered the sound of jungle and drum and bass. His djing style is characterized by various influence from dancehall to dub, from house to hip-hop. In 2007 Dann start to produce dubstep, he love to experiment and contaminate his sound, now is sound its a mix of minimal and deep atmospheres and fat beat and basslines. Agostino Isola aka Noiza:: was born in Florence in 1991. Since he was a child, music (from jazz to classical, from hip-hop to reggae) has been a central part of his life. He started djing/producing electronic music at the age of 13, mainly focusing on drum’n bass and dubstep. His productions started soon to circulate in Florentine and Italian underground scene and immediately received support from artists such as Numa Crew and DubSpencerSound. De Niro: is part of Rollers Inc., longevous and industrious italian drum&bass crew since 1997.
With a great passion for dub, hip hop and downtempo, he found into dubstep sound the natural evolution of his musical adventure as dj and producer.
He runs a monthly night in Turin with mc Victor, 'Dubside', guestin' the most rapresentative crews of italian scene.
He opened the show for Skream, Caspa and Ruckspin in Turin and Milan.
