There are many things I enjoy in life and I am always trying to find new things to add to the list. Among my interests are music, bird watching/nature viewing, fishing, hunting, camping, boating and pretty much anything else outdoors. I also enjoy running and working out and utilize this to help balance out my love of partying.
Currently I live in Flint Michigan and am doing what I can to help with the city's revitalization and redevelopment. Although this place has some problems which are nationally known, there are a multitude of great people here and a really good music, art and college scene which have the potential to help turn this into a really great place!!
Music
I like a wide variety of music..from classic rock to rap/hip hop to country to hard rock/metal/punk to bluegrass. I suppose some of my favorites would be Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Allman Brothers, Sublime anyone who plays at Wheatland Music Festival, and of course any of my friends' bands
Movies
Although I like a lot of different types of movies I'd have to say my favorites have been: Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Tommy Boy, Idiocracy and Office Space.
Television
I don't watch much tv due to time constraints. When I do I will usually watch South Park, Michigan Out of Doors, The Daily Show and the Discovery and History channels
Books
Crimes Against Nature - Robert Kennedy, Jr.
Anything by Carl Hiaasen
Wesley the Owl: The Remarkable Love Story of an Owl and His Girl by Stacey O'Brien
Rich Dad, Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki
Sane Investing in an Insane World - Jim Cramer
I just finished the biography "When The Going Gets Weird : The Twisted Life and Times of Hunter S. Thompson : A Very Unauthorized Biography" and that was really good and interesting. Now I am trying to revisit some classic literature, some of which I should have read in high school or college had I actually ever finished a book prior to graduating.
Heroes
My Grandparents for having accomplished so much in their lives. In my Grandma's case continuing to live life to its fullest and remain an activist for causes she believes in (ex: women's rights/environmentalism) at 92.
My dad for helping me to see that if friends and family aren't kept a priority then your other successes aren't nearly as important.
My mom and stepdad for having taught me to enjoy the country lifestyle and make due with what I have.
And MOST DEFINATELY NOT George W Bush
