DBXLD are a singer/songwriting partnership which was originally formed back in the mid '70's. Dennis and Leigh had played in a number or bands over the years. Their first was in 1970 with a band from Nuneaton, UK called Flood (who were originally caled Hunter; but re-named after the 1954 flood disaster in Lynmouth, Devon, UK - a favourite holiday location of theirs).
Leigh also played with folk rock band Fresh Maggotts (http://freshmaggots.vox.com) together with Mick Burgoyne, on vocals / guitars / glockenspeil/ tin whistle. Fresh Maggots signed a record deal with Sparta Florida Music and recorded an album on RCA Victor (Fresh Maggots) and a single (Car Song). The album and single have been re-released on CD by Sunbeam records and is still available via thier vox.com site.
Dennis and Leigh eventually left Flood. Dennis sold his trusty Gibson SG Standard and Marshall stack and decided to buy a Transit van and roady/sound engineer for Fresh Maggots, who were about to tour the UK with a series of university and club gigs, and also local radio appearences.
So in the mid 70's, Dennis and Leigh got back together as a singer/ songwriting duo. These DBXLD songs are just a sample of Dennis and Leigh's widely varied musical repertoir, which started off where Fresh Maggots left off, and then moved on through a wide variety of other styles and influences. These songs were some of their latest compositions and recorded in 1983 at home on an analogue Teac Portastudio 144 and re-mastered in Cubase SX.
Dennis later went on to play with: blues/ rock band Stiletto, new wave/ indie band Aorta Major (www.myspace.com/aortamajor), new wave/ power-pop band The Mix, alternative/ funk band Urge ( Urge video), and classic rock covers band Messenger (www.myspace.com.messengerrocks>)

Thanks for listening to our music! I've got myself the mentioned Fresh Maggots album from 1971. It's beautiful and i also like your new stuff. Our english Biograhy is coming soon.
thanks for your friendship and your kind words. your songs are beautiful. i also used to record my demo songs on an old analogue tascam porta studio. i now use the 8-track digital version of it. it is as easy to handle as the old one but it sounds better and the additional four tracks are quite also quite handy. best wishes from switzerland. wilde
