Scifi in general (Books, TV, Movies etc.) but a fan of Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, Starwars (Original), I also like Asian films & some Animé too. I love photographing Steam Locomotives(Trains) at my local preserved railway (http://www.GWSR.com) and you can see my photos as well as others there (I look after the official on-line galleries). I have a fondness for single/solo female artists, Norah Jones, Katie Melua, Madeline Peyroux, Selena Cross. I also enjoy listening to soundtrack albums to relax or when I'm in the mood

In no particular order, Master & Commander:The far side of the World, Pirates of the Caribbean (All), Blade Runner, Stripes, StarBalls, The Princess Bride, Ladyhawke, Wingcommander, The Station Agent, Harry Potter, Avalon, Starship Troopers, the Italian Job (both old & new), Firefox, V for Vendetta, Taxi (the original French), The Fifth Element, Red Planet, Stripes, Serenity (I better add that one :) ) ... the list goes on (I have a very big DVD library most of it not in any particular order)

Books
'The Dresden Files' - Jim Butcher (fantastic modern day Wizard in Chicago, my type of deadpan humour, runs to 7 books so far, check it out!), Elizabeth Moons 'The Serrano Legacy' & 'The Vatta..s War' series (she has a way of writing about characters in space military situations which make her books very easy to read and understand what is going on in the midst of an action engagement) - also loved 'The Planet Pirates' series by Anne McCaffrey with Elizabeth Moon & Jody Lynn Nye. I..m currently also enjoying books by Jack McDevitt 'Polaris' 'Deep Six', 'Seeker' and plan to read others later. Also I've just found 'The Lost Fleet' by Jack Campbell (a.k.a. John G Hemry) which I'm liking so far.
Heroes
I don..t really have ..true.. Heroes, although there are people I admire, some fictional (books or on-screen), some real. There are however ..Idols.. and the same applies, but they can often be nicer in person than their fictional characters that they portray, which is really nice, that..s what makes fandom & idolism enjoyable.

Hey Zol! How's things? I don't think I'm going to be able to make it to S:Infinity which i'm gutted about. I'm finishing a job and we dont wrap til the Saturday - and then I'm starting a new one on the monday morning so i think it would be a bit tight to get down to london and back up here. But I'm relying on you guys to take lots of pics for me to get jealous over! And of course I want to see pics of the fancy dress.
And I thank you for the comment about Caroline Dhavernas (although I do not see it personally!) I havent seen Wonderfalls but I went to see Breach the other week and she is in that.
