The blood of DCAP is in the long time bond between front-man/bassist, Dave Crespo and guitar player Tony Colella. Friends since attending middle school together in the suburbs of Massachusetts, the two have embarked on a musical journey since 2001. In 2004, Crespo moved into Boston for college. Soon, he became a sponge to the local music scene and booking local acts into clubs became a lifestyle for Crespo. It paid off when he met his future singer, Cary Wells at one of these clubs. With the addition of Wells, a known Boston Celtics games’ vocalist, and drummer, Marcus Skapars, the songs Crespo wrote became full and bold in their intentions. Highly influenced by The Pixies and The Strokes, the band's first record, DCAP is honest and ambitious. Catchy songs that embody the blood of city life make this band one to listen to now and watch out for in the future.

Bryan Donohue of PLAYGROUND BOSTON said:
"Dave Crespo and the Afterparty know how to have a good time. They’ve been playing their catchy Boston-oriented pop rock all over the city in support of their newly released album, culminating in an opening slot for Marcy Playground’s recent tour back in August and a spot on the Main Stage at the P-Town Fest in July. Crespo’s been a staple in the Boston scene for years, booking shows, organizing open mic nights, and playing and promoting tirelessly. In 2007 he teamed up with vocalist Cary Wells to form The Afterparty, featuring a soulful male-female duet laid over honest alternative pop rock about love, life, and the city of Boston."

DAve Crespojust recently got great CD Review from The Noise pick up a copy at your local venue and check it out!!!!!..
Joel Simches of Silver Circle Reviews wrote in the Noise's September 2007 edition:
"Much singer-songwriter music is pretty much the same after a while. It’s all about some kind of spiritual journey and tales about the people met on the way. Dave Crespo may also be singing about the same thing, but he seems to engage his audience by singing about things that everyone can relate to. This kind of inclusive vibe in his music is an inviting and refreshing change. He sings about the war, places of solitude where people need to go to sort out their everyday life, and how to love the ones you hate. Ain’t that nice? Very simple, open and honest. These three songs breathe fresh air into a tired genre."
And another in the November 2007 Noise Issue says:
"Dave Crespo is a talented and prolific songwriter who, in just a few short years, has become something of a ubiquitous presence in clubland, having put together some great shows with his friends and opening the doors to a lot of new talent.
This three-song nugget is a bubble bath of pop hooks and recalls the halcyon days of pop, glam, and space rock. Although Crespo’s vocals have sounded much better live than on this recording, the arrangement and sonic trappings of each of these songs are more than enough to make your ears smile. The melodies are fresh and memorable and in the hands of the right producer, these songs could become the stuff of legend."
Insite Magazine's comments on a January performance were...
"One of the night’s biggest revelations might have been the quietest. Armed with an acoustic guitar and lyrics that pay tribute to his Beantown home, Crespo commanded the center stage while allowing the music to take the spotlight. Of course, it didn’t hurt that lyrics about the overpriced MBTA and the underperforming Red Sox (from his song “Across the Charles”) were bound to resonate with a Boston audience. Still, there’s something to be said for an artist that can make strong storytelling shout as loudly as any wailing guitar riff."
