When the clock hits 12 midnight and the party is in its waning breath, DAve Crespo's After Party is just the cure for the second wind blues. With Cary Wells' pipes like Super Mario, Ashley Rhodes table turning solos, Jon Sencabaugh's in the pocket beats and Crespo's sexy charisma, DCAP is a rock n' roll celebration. The band formed in 2007 when Crespo decided to put a line up behind his acoustic efforts. When he met diva vocalist, Cary Wells at a karaoke contest fate was put into place. The band released their first record in 2009 appropriately titled, "DCAP." Shortly after a proper record release at Cambridge's rock mecca, The Middle East, the band found themselves opening up for notable bands like Marcy Playground.

Each member of DC's After Party is a small enterprise of their own. Cary Wells is a known vocalist for the Boston Celtics, New England Revolution and Boston College Eagles where she has roared the national anthem to thousands of eager sports fans. Ashley Rhodes fronts a 3-piece blues driven rock band, Hevy Sol when she isn't shredding with DCAP. Jon Sencabaugh is the former drummer for The Influenced, which made a break into the Boston scene in 2007. The leader of the After Party, DAve Crespo is also a leader in the local music scene in Boston. Co-host of The Boston Local Music Show on UNregular Radio, Crespo is known to put together some of the best shows with F Nice Records in Boston even when DCAP doesn't end up on the bill.

"Much singer-songwriter music is pretty much the same after a while. It’s all about some kind of spiritual journey and tales about the people met on the way. Dave Crespo may also be singing about the same thing, but he seems to engage his audience by singing about things that everyone can relate to. This kind of inclusive vibe in his music is an inviting and refreshing change. He sings about the war, places of solitude where people need to go to sort out their everyday life, and how to love the ones you hate. Ain’t that nice? Very simple, open and honest. These three songs breathe fresh air into a tired genre."

"Dave Crespo is a talented and prolific songwriter who, in just a few short years, has become something of a ubiquitous presence in clubland, having put together some great shows with his friends and opening the doors to a lot of new talent. This three-song nugget is a bubble bath of pop hooks and recalls the halcyon days of pop, glam, and space rock. Although Crespo’s vocals have sounded much better live than on this recording, the arrangement and sonic trappings of each of these songs are more than enough to make your ears smile. The melodies are fresh and memorable and in the hands of the right producer, these songs could become the stuff of legend."

Insite Magazine's comments on a January performance were...

"One of the night’s biggest revelations might have been the quietest. Armed with an acoustic guitar and lyrics that pay tribute to his Beantown home, Crespo commanded the center stage while allowing the music to take the spotlight. Of course, it didn’t hurt that lyrics about the overpriced MBTA and the underperforming Red Sox (from his song “Across the Charles”) were bound to resonate with a Boston audience. Still, there’s something to be said for an artist that can make strong storytelling shout as loudly as any wailing guitar riff."
