Greetings, earthlings. It's kind of hard to write everything about me here, for one I just don't get all this "about me", facebook/hi5-ish stuff, like anyone really cares about what I had for breakfast last Thursday or what my preferred brand of shampoo is, and secondly I find that words are often a watered down version of actual life and don't really do us justice. But anyway here goes. I'm a guy generally happy with the simple things in life, and don't care at all for all the flashy, glamour-infested, macho, "look how cool I am", technologically-dominated and progressivelly culturless society, where apparently the standards for being socially acceptable are having five phD's on the wall and a couple of jaguars in the garage.
There is one area in life, however, where I manage to find myself being "at home", where I see all the bullshit society lives by today just disappear, washed away like a bad dream. Music. Playing the guitar and creating music in general is that one thing in life by which I am driven 155%, the one thing I do all the time without ever getting bored or feelings that I'm wasting my time. Almost all of my time is occupied by musically related activities (I try to squeeze in my school assignments in between), be it practicing guitar at home, with my band Cyanide, in any one of the other side projects I'm currently involved in (this solo thing being one of them), or updating this silly little page of mine. This summer I also managed to fulfill another long-lasting wish of mine and started dabbling around with the drums a bit, just for fun though.
I am a deeply spiritual person. I believe that over the course of time, materialism, religion, superstition, tradition and myth have blinded the people on this earth. These things have made them forget that the key to inner peace and ultimate happiness, the absolute truth and the highest, purest levels of consciousness and being cannot ever be obtained through wealth, power or statue worship...these merely give a false sense of security and provide a haven for those who choose to live in denial and refuse to examine the true beauty of life. For me, the concept of God and infinity are not found in some building or book, but rather inside each and every living thing in this universe... inside the smallest blade of grass there is the infinity of the cosmos. Being in harmony with all that is around you, you will also be in complete harmony with yourself. Through this level of being, one can channel inspiration, observe emotions without allowing them to take control and achieve a positive state of consciousness through even the most basic of instincts...
So why did I make a choice about a year ago to devote myself completely to the musical cause? There is no logical explanation my friends. In music I find what I don't find elsewhere; it gives me an incredibly strong sense of purpose and fulfillment, but is also deeply rooted into the way it makes me feel in general. Stylistically, I started off as a rock guitarist and therefore I guess thats where my roots lie. However, these past months I have started practicing and studying jazz almost exclusively, and have grown immensely fond of playing as well as listening to this incredibly musical and technical style, which in turn has helped all other areas of my playing as well. as long as it's good music with some good guitar in it, I'm up for a listen. Usually I'll be listening to either jazz/fusion, progressive rock/metal or funk...yep I know, not exactly the same, but I fond something incredibly appealing in all of them.

So anyway, roam around my profile, have a listen, comment to your heart's content, mosh, tap your fingers on the table-top, dance around naked in the rain. As long as you're true to yourself and what you believe in, never say die. Peace out boys and girls, drive safe...
